Motherhood

When I was pregnant I felt like a child having a child, in an unprepared sort of way. Thirteen years later, I recognize that no one has the answers, but rather offer their experience to share. I’ve since experienced motherhood in a way that was never articulated or modeled to me – a time to experiment, to take time to let myself experience the joys and wonders of the world. Imagine being a young child again and your first memory of something fascinating.

Here’s my in progress journey processing all the feels.

Warning: It is a bit of an emotional rollercoaster

I can’t remember why I was compelled to make this piece, but I was thinking about the virgen mother idea a lot and how much shame I felt when I had my daughter out of wedlock.
